NATICK, Mass., November 8, 2007 -- It is no wonder your child, grandchild, niece or nephew can navigate the Internet faster than you can or teach you how to use your own personal electronics...they have plenty of educational technology toys at home. According to a recent study released by the Consumer Electronics Association and Toy Industry Association, three quarters of consumers who bought an electronic toy in the past year were compelled by its educational value.

The study further reveals that consumers are expected to spend $2 billion on electronic toys for children ages 0 - 15 years in the next 12 months, with the majority of recipients (58%) being boys. Topping the list of most popular toys were radio controlled toys, DVD games and electronic learning aids.
