Company's Fuel Your Fundraiser Program® Gives Organizations Chance to Earn Up to $100,000
WESTBOROUGH, Mass., June 16, 2016 -- In celebration of the BJ's Wholesale Club opening soon in Kearny, the company today announced a $10,000 BJ's Charitable Foundation grant to the Kearny Recreation Department to help the nights get a little brighter at Harvey Field. To provide even more support to the local community, the company is also giving the Recreation Department and other organizations the chance to earn up to $100,000 in funds through its Fuel Your Fundraiser® program.
"BJ's Wholesale Club is privileged to serve the Kearny community, and we're proud of the positive impact we have on local children and families," said Robert Reyes, general manager of the BJ's Wholesale Club in Kearny. "We're pleased to be coming to Kearny later this summer and we're thrilled to present this grant to the Kearny Recreation Department."
The new 85,000 square foot BJ's Wholesale Club will be located at 180 Passaic Avenue in Kearny. "On behalf of all residents who participate in Kearny's recreation programs, I'd like to thank BJ's Wholesale Club for this generous donation that will help add lights to the Harvey Field Athletic Complex," said Mayor Alberto G. Santos. "We're also pleased to partner with BJ's on their Fuel Your Fundraiser campaign, which will help us raise much-needed funds for Kearny's recreational fields and programs."
